Accessible accommodation

Do you require a little assistance while you’re away? Whether you like the reassurance that there are just one or two steps to get to your bedroom, or if you require parking close to the entrance to your accommodation or you may have special dietary requirements, we can assure you that these hotels and cottages have completed self assessment questionnaires that will help you decide where to stay.

The Visit England National Accessible Scheme (NAS) is the only scheme that rates the accessibility of visitor accommodation throughout England. Properties are assessed for their facilities for mobility, hearing impairment facilities and sight impairments.

Properties that have been NAS assessed:

Facilities for those with impaired sight

Accommodation can also complete a self-assessment questionnaire that states information that visitors may wish to know about parking facilities, the number steps at an establishment and large print menus.

The Open Britain website aims to inspire visitors to Britain’s wonderful towns, cities, countryside and coast to find those memorable experiences which enhance our lives.

Open Britain brings together information from a variety of sources in order to provide as much choice and coverage as possible. VisitEngland and DisabledGo are key partners in this, both of whom undertake access inspections.
