National Space Centre

Exploration Drive,

By the end of the evening you will see things differently

Working with the RNIB the National Space Centre is hosting a journey through the senses, except one!

Enjoy a five-course tasting menu, a guided walk of the National Space Centre and an audio described Tour of the Night Sky in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium, all without the use of sight.

Our visually impaired partners often have no understanding of what they are served in a restaurant, imagine approaching a buffet table and not being able to use sight to decide on what you will eat.

Our evening will engage, stimulate, entertain, nourish and put you in another person’s shoes, if only for one night.

100% of all profits from this event will go to charity.

What to Expect:

• Lights will be dimmed, and diners can choose to experience their meal either blindfolded or through simulation spectacles (simulate one visual impairment)
• Visually impaired RNIB members will host each table, spark conversation and answer any questions that diners may have.
• A locally sourced and seasonally themed menu will be served in the heart of our galleries.
• You will experience an audio described Tour of the Night Sky in the UK’s largest planetarium.
• There will be free time during dinner to explore our ground floor exhibition.
