A new series of display signs at Leicester station is set to raise the profile of the city to almost five million rail passengers per year.

Leicester is the only station in the country to have these double-sided display panels available. New signs have been installed until 2017 featuring Curve, Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival, De Montfort University, Highcross Leicester, King Richard III Visitor Centre, University of Leicester and Visit Leicester.

The signs will be located between the tracks, facing platforms 2 and 3. They will showcase Leicester’s cultural, retail, tourism and educational offers to over 4,850,000* people using the station platforms each year.

Martin Peters, Chief Executive of Leicester Shire Promotions added: “The station is the first welcome point for a significant number of visitors to the city and county. As a consequence, the trackside signage is a unique opportunity to promote some of the highlights that the city has to offer for UK rail passengers, be they business people, residents, students, shoppers or visitors.”
