New Marco Pierre White restaurant to open in Leicester

A new Marco Pierre White restaurant is set to open in Leicester city next month, bringing 20 new jobs to the area.

Located on Granby Street, the new restaurant will be a Marco's New York Italian and one of the latest to open under the name of the prestigious celebrity chef. The restaurant will sit within the iconic Mercure Leicester, The Grand Hotel which has undergone an extensive refurbishment of its ground floor, including a new stunning bar/lounge, reception area and fitness room.

The Italian-American cuisine offering is inspired by one of America's most vibrant dining scenes. Diners will be able to choose from a varied menu that includes traditional Italian pasta and pizza dishes, alongside a range of American style hotdogs, burgers, ribs and steaks. Other dishes available include a small variety of fish and chicken, finishing with a mouth-watering dessert menu.

The restaurant is creating 20 new positions and recruitment is currently underway.

General Manager of the Grand Hotel, James Conaghan, said "This is a really exciting opportunity to bring Marco's cuisine to Leicester and indeed further enhances what is going on within the hotel and the city itself. With the location of the restaurant on Granby Street being in such a prime spot, it is ideally placed for a light lunch, a spot of indulgence in the evening or as a social meeting place. We're looking forward to welcoming customers both local and from further afield."

The restaurant is set to open to the public on February 20th, with an official launch party to be announced very soon.
