Look forward to February half-term by planning a visit to CONKERS

What better way to recover from the January back to work/school blues than by planning a fun-filled half-term in February?

CONKERS, the award-winning visitor attraction at the heart of The National Forest on the Leicestershire/Derbyshire border, is offering a range of indoor and outdoor activities for children and families to enjoy from 10-25 February 2018.

Over both half-term weeks, CONKERS is hosting daily craft activities from 11am to 4pm every day and ranger activities including bushcraft survival skills and pond dipping.

Families visiting from the 17-25 February will enjoy a number of live shows including:

• Saturday 17 Feb – Punch & Judy Puppet Show – 11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.30pm
• Sunday 18 Feb – Punch & Judy Puppet Show – 11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.30pm
• Monday 19 Feb – Ras King Bobo – an amazing acrobat - 11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.30pm
• Tuesday 20 – show to be confirmed
• Wednesday 21 Feb – Sublime Science – check out the mad scientist of Dragon’s Den fame – 11.30am & 2:00pm
• Thursday 22 Feb – Dippys Clown Show - 11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.30pm
• Friday 23 Feb – Trevor Hill’s Animal Roadshow – between 12pm & 4pm
• Saturday – 24 Feb – Bubble Pop with bubble making fun - 11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.30pm
• Sunday 25 Feb – Bubble Pop with bubble making fun - 11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.30pm

There’s 120 acres to explore, a 4D Cinema, indoor play, a 450 metre barefoot walk and CONKERCHOO train.

During January, CONKERS is fully open for visitors and members on weekends, but closed from Monday to Friday to allow for maintenance work and to refresh the visitor experience. CONKERS will reopen fully on Monday 12 February 2018.

CONKERS recently won a major tourism award as the best ‘Great Day Out – Large Attraction’ in Leicestershire. The award was presented at the annual Leicestershire Promotions Tourism and Hospitality Awards 2017.
