National Space Centre Wins National Venue Awards

The National Space Centre Venue team attended the prestigious National Venue Awards last week and came home with the hotly contested Best Unusual or Unique Venue.

Entries were received from all over the UK and from a diverse range of venues including arenas; pavilions; academic institutions; museums; historic hotels; urban spaces; sports grounds and conference centres.

Feedback from the judging panel included; "I particularly like their creative menus for events and the well thought out team building days.The supporting material was of a high standard and clearly shows they have a hard working and innovative team."

Leicestershire shone on the day, with three of the sixteen awards going to city and county based organisations; Best Event Venue – 500 to 1000 attendees: Athena, Best Academic Venue: Imago Venues and Best Unusual or Unique Venue: National Space Centre.

The National Venue Awards are a sister event to the already established and successful London Venue Awards.

The National Venue Awards seek to give the same recognised benchmark and badge of excellence for venues from anywhere in the UK. 16 categories were awarded reflecting the diverse UK venues sector including ones for awards, weddings, corporate parties, catering, customer service and academic institutions.

The National Venue Awards were judged by a panel of key influencers representing expertise from every facet of the industry to ensure winners are fairly chosen via our rigorous and transparent process.
