Leicestershire Promotions appoints Paul Owen as Product Manager

Leicestershire Promotions, the independent tourism specialist, has appointed Paul Owen as its new Product Manager. Paul Owen brings over 35 years’ experience of the local and national travel industry to his new role and will be responsible for developing the company’s popular Stay Play Explore short breaks.

The Stay Play Explore short breaks are aimed at visitors – families and couples – and offer a choice of three from a range of attractions and experiences, combined with overnight stays at 4 star accommodation.

As Product Manager, Paul Owen will manage the relationships with all accommodation providers and visitor attraction partners, focus on expanding the breaks with new strategic partners and into new destinations, strengthen sales activity and maximise the effectiveness of data capture processes.

Prior to joining Leicestershire Promotions, Paul Owen worked as Marketing Manager for Millington Travel, the largest independent travel company in the East Midlands and was Business Development and Marketing Manager for Roberts Travel Group. He has also held manager and director roles at Millington Travel, The Independent Travel Company, Travelforce and Exchange Travel, and started his career in the travel industry at National Express.
