Countdown to Leicestershire Tourism Forum

Local tourism and hospitality businesses will benefit from expert advice from practical workshops, get a better understanding of industry issues and take advantage of networking opportunities with industry partners at this year’s Leicestershire Tourism Forum.

The Forum, hosted by Leicestershire Promotions and Winning Moves, will be held at Sketchley Grange Hotel in Hinckley from 9.30am to 5pm on 8 November 2018.

Opening the event will be Beverley Nielsen, former CEO of the Heart of England Tourist Board and currently a leading player in the Centre for Brexit Studies at Birmingham City University. Beverley will focus on ensuring that businesses are ready for the future when ‘Trading Through Brexit’.

The morning and afternoon workshops are supported by the Collaborate programme where free specialist support is offered to help tourism businesses in the city and county to expand. Small and medium sized attractions and accommodation and hospitality firms can take advantage of the advice, designed to help them harness growth in the sector. The project focuses on topics including business development, making the most of social media and consumer review websites.

Whilst the workshop sessions in the morning and afternoon are provided at no cost, delegates are invited to a networking lunch between the sessions for a small charge of £25 +VAT per person. Tickets for the Leicestershire Tourism Forum can be purchased by visiting
