Bradgate Park is Leicestershire's largest and most popular country park. It comprises of 840 acres of land with grass, heath, bracken, rocky outcrops, small woods, herds of deer and the River Lin. The Park also includes the ruins of Bradgate House, the birthplace and early home of Lady Jane Grey 1537 - 1554 (Nine Days Queen of England.) Old John Tower folly, a well known Leicestershire landmark, stands on the ridge of high land.

Opening Details
Open all the time
Bradgate Park is open to visitors from 7.45am until dusk on every day of the year. The car parks are closed at dusk and all vehicles must be removed by then.
Three car parks are available for use by visitors. They are located at the main entrance points to Bradgate Park
Newtown Linford (entrance within the village, off Bradgate Road – alongside the Church). This is the Main entrance and leads to most picturesque areas of Park. Newtown Linford is our busiest car park and, if you are looking for peace and quiet on a busy day or just a different walk, you may like to try one of our other car parks. Hallgates (Cropston) (off Roecliffe Road). Nearest car park to Deer Barn Tea Room & Visitor Centre. (Use Post Code LE7 7HQ for SatNav)
Hunts Hill (Old John) (off Sharpley Hill/Warren Hill) and opposite turn into Benscliffe Road). Most convenient for the higher parts of the Park and for Old John Tower and the war memorial. (Use Postcode LE6 OAH for SatNav)

Parking Charges: Parking charges apply at all car parks and are for an all day ticket. Pay and Display parking tickets are valid at all our car parks on the day of issue – if you want to move the car to explore a different part of the Park, you do not need to pay again!
Parking for Coaches (large) available at Newtown Linford and Hunts Hill car parks.
