Idea Three - Situated in the centre of Market Harborough adjacent to the Old Grammar School sits Harborough Theatre. With a wide range of stunning shows, plays and musicals including productions from The Market Harborough Drama Society, Octagon Films, and the Little Theatre Company the theatre offers something for everyone. Set in its historical building the theatre seats 118 visitors and delivers quality entertainment thoughout the year.

Idea Four - The Harborough Disitrict has a number of live entertainment venues. Plays and readings can be seen at the beautiful Cotesbach Educational Trust, Cafe Ventoux (the uk's number one cycling destination), The Oathill with its theatre in the garden, and Foxton Locks to name a few. Harborough is also fortunate to be home to the Le Page Ensemble. The ensemble draws on the talents of this country’s most outstanding professional musicians who perform as soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral players all over the world. The Ensemble has gained a national reputation for thrilling performances of the highest calibre and is also establishing Market Harborough as an indispensable platform for Classical music in Leicestershire.

Tours and Workshops

Idea One -  Close to the centre of Market Harborough and a stones throw from the railway station Two Birds Gin School is a great experience for the gin enthusiast. After sampling the perfect gin and tonic your 'Ginstructor' will give you an insight into the history of the spirit and then you get the opportunty to distill your very own gin with its own unique profile.

Idea Two - If wine is your tipple then visit Welland Valley Vineyard. Situated a couple of miles west of Market Harborough the vineyard produces award winning wines and offers a vineyard tour and tasting documenting the history, and production of this great British wine.

Idea Three -  Each year the beautiful village of Hallaton holds the annual Bottle Kicking Hare Pie Scramble. A contest between Hallaton and the neighbouring village of Medbourne. To celebrate the contest The Bottle Kicking Cider Company produces a variety of delicious ciders that are available across the district. By appointment your group can tour the cider making process and sample the wonderful cider produced.
