The award winning family attraction, Conkers, situated in the heart of The National Forest in Moira is the perfect day out for all the family. From obstacle courses, barefoot walks, treetop walks and an amazing adventure playground, there’s plenty to keep all the family active!

Events are very much a feature of the area and there is entertainment a plenty with festivals and music events taking places throughout the year.

Moira Furnace provides visitors with a unique insight into the industrial heritage of the area and is probably one of the most important blast furnaces still in existence today throughout Europe. Donington le Heath Manor House is one of the oldest houses in Leicestershire and was built in around 1290.  Visitors to the 1620s House and Garden can now see the beautifully restored period rooms and talk to volunteers about the history of the house, the families that lived here and about life in the 1620s.

If you're interested in transport, why not visit the East Midlands Aero Park which is both an aviation museum and a viewing area where you can see preserved planes of yesteryear and watch modern airliners of today taking-off and landing at East Midlands Airport. Nearby you'll also find world famous Donington Park  As well as a famous motorsport venue, Donington is also celebrated as the host of the Download rock festival, which attracts tens of thousands of music fans each year. The venue also holds a wide variety of exhibitions, shows and other music concerts all year round.
