Travel to Bradgate Park and walk through the landscape that Lady Jane Grey, nine days Queen of England once explored. If the weather is inclement you can walk along the smooth pathway through the middle of the park, view the deer and the ruins of Bradgate house or take a more energetic walk and start from Hunts Hill and walk up to Old John and see glorious views across Leicestershire and beyond.
Or why not visit Conkers which has a unique mix of indoor and outdoor experiences. Explore 120 acres of maturing woodland, the 450 metre sensual barefoot walk, the Conkerchoo train, woodside and lakeside trails, amazing adventure play to keep the kids entertained for hours.
Enjoy a day out at Twycross Zoo and meet over 500 animals from almost 150 species including some of the most endangered on our planet. Renowned as a specialist primate zoo, Twycross has a wide variety of monkeys and apes including the UK’s only group of bonobos.
