UK astronaut celebration for half term

This half term the National Space Centre will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Helen's mission, as well as the UK's participation in space exploration before and after this historic flight.
Visitors will be able to follow in Helen's footsteps and join Leicestershire based Chocolate Alchemy in this amazing workshop that will leave your taste buds tingling and you wanting more... you do get to take home some goodies you make!

After the workshop there is an opportunity to purchase unique products from Chocolate Alchemy only available here at the National Space Centre for this event!
It is also a week of Celebrity, as the National Space Centre Mission Controllers are joined by special guest from the UK Space Industry:
• George Fraser, Director of the Space Research Centre at the University of Leicester.
• Mike Foster, RAF Fylingdales - ballistic missile warning and space surveillance service for the RAF and USAF.
• Bridget, the test robot for EADS Astrium that is part of the ExoMars mission to Mars in 2018.
Project Juno & Brits in Space will be the talk on the Space Now stage, telling the story of how Helen was chosen and the role of Britain in the space industry.
