The twelve days of Christmas 'and a National Forest gift of Plant a Tree!'

03/05/2012

‘On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me'...

Give a Plant a Tree package as a gift this Christmas, and you are giving a whole experience.

Enjoy this National Forest version of the seasonal favourite and get a favour of what it's like to come and plant a tree with us!

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

twelve feet a-stamping

eleven families planting

ten pairs of gloves

nine sacks of trees

eight happy memories

seven spades a-waiting

six holes to dig

five warm glows!

four happy smiles

three hot drinks

two invites for the day

and a National Forest gift of Plant a Tree!

Plant a Tree in The National Forest costs £25, which reflects the true cost of the tree, the land and the future care of the woodland. You can buy it online at http://www.nationalforest.org/sponsor/plantatree/

You receive a certificate to present as your Christmas gift, bearing your own message to celebrate the planting of the tree. You and the recipient are then invited to a special tree planting event, when you are greeted by National Forest Company staff and helped to choose your tree from a selection of native species (generally oak, ash and birch; sometimes small leaved lime, hazel and wild cherry may be available). You then plant the tiny tree, which will become part of a rich and vibrant woodland you can revisit and enjoy, as it changes through the seasons and is home to an ever-increasing range of wildlife.

Find out more about Plant a Tree in The National Forest at http://www.nationalforest.org/sponsor/plantatree/ or call the National Forest Company on 01283 551211.

The final date to be guaranteed your Plant a Tree for Christmas is Friday 16 December. But how about a New Year's Resolution tree as well ...?
