Sir David Attenborough joins museum's podcast line-up

03/05/2012

A short interview with broadcaster Sir David Attenborough recorded during his recent visit to New Walk Museum & Art Gallery is now available to view on Leicester Museums YouTube channel.

The interview was filmed in the museum's new Dinosaur Gallery and shows Sir David Attenborough talking about his early days in Leicester, his memories of the museum, his thoughts of the new dinosaur gallery and the influence the museum has had on his career.

It is the latest in a series of ten podcasts inspired by the new gallery and some of its key objects. These include interviews with key figures like Roger Mason who discovered the Charnia Fossil in Charnwood Forest in 1957, as well as museum curators telling the stories of some of the other items in the collection.
