03/05/2012

Radisson Blu has begun taking bookings for guests, diners, conferences, weddings and other celebrations at its new East Midlands Airport hotel, which it claims will be the most luxurious hotel (pictures available on request) of its type in the region when it opens in late October.

Built to the highest modern standards as a four-star standard ‘Design Hotel' it boasts 218 rooms including a presidential suite, three executive suites and six junior suites. The hotel's sleek interiors emphasise style, luxury and comfort while all rooms are kitted out with large screen tv and air-conditioning.

An extensive brasserie-style menu featuring international cuisine will be available from the restaurant, lounge or bar while the ‘Super Breakfast' concept for the most important meal of the day includes a large range of continental and English options.

The hotel boasts meeting and conference facilities for up to 500 delegates, with up to 400 in largest suite, plus free high-speed internet access throughout. Nine flexible meeting rooms have been designed to be easily adapted for weddings, parties and other celebrations. The hotel has an onsite gym with all the latest equipment plus a swimming pool and spa facilities for relaxation as well as 24-hour room service and guest laundry service.

Its location at junction 24 of the M1, where it meets other major roads including the M42 and A50 as well as nearby rail links in Nottingham and Derby and of course East Midlands International Airport is expected to make it a favourite with business travellers and holidaymakers alike as well as those going to events at venues like nearby Castle Donington or Trent Bridge.

Radisson Blu Hotels & Resorts currently operates more than 30 hotels in the UK and the new hotel at East Midlands Airport offers a range of guest, conference and celebration packages available at www.radissonblu.co.uk .
