The Radisson Blu gets off to a flying start
03/05/2012
The newly built Radisson Blu unveiled its cutting edge business facilities and luxury finish to an invited audience of businesses based at East Midlands Airport this morning (5 Oct) two weeks prior to its official opening on 24 October 2011. The East Midlands Airport onsite network meeting on 5 October was a fantastic opportunity for the hotel to showcase its plush interiors and state of the art facilities for business and leisure customers. Attendees enjoyed a sneak preview of the 218 room hotel with its top class conferencing and leisure facilities.
Daniel Keane, general manager of the Radisson Blu said: "The breakfast seminar was the perfect opportunity to present our offer to the network of businesses based here at East Midlands Airport. It's great to be able to successfully accommodate guests on site two weeks before we are even due to open.
"We hope to be the first choice for the business traveller, flying in and out of the airport, as well as being the prime meeting and conference centre for businesses across the region."
Built to the highest modern standards as a four-star standard ‘Design Hotel', the newest Radisson Blu boasts a presidential suite, three executive suites and six junior suites all kitted out with 37-inch flat screens and air conditioning. The hotel's interiors have been designed to emphasise style and comfort within its business class rooms and suites. These feature plush amenities such as Nespresso coffee machines and free movies; as well as free, high speed internet access throughout the hotel.
An extensive brasserie-style menu featuring international cuisine will be available from the restaurant, lounge or bar; and for the most important meal of the day the ‘Super Breakfast' concept includes a large range of continental and English options, available to-go from 3am for even the busiest of travellers.
The hotel has an onsite gym with all the latest equipment, plus a swimming pool and spa facilities - with a variety of treatments available for relaxation - as well as 24-hour room service and guest laundry service.
Its location at junction 24 of the M1, where it meets other major roads including the M42 and A50 as well as nearby rail links in Nottingham and Derby and of course East Midlands International Airport, is expected to make it a favourite with business travellers looking for a convenient base to relax after a working day.
For those looking for possible business meeting venues, the hotel boasts meeting and conference facilities for up to 500 delegates, with up to 350 in largest suite, plus free high-speed internet access throughout. Nine flexible meeting rooms have been designed to be easily adapted for weddings, parties and other celebrations.
