New Launde Abbey programme for 2012 is announced

03/05/2012

After months of preparation and planning the new Programme for Launde Abbey's retreats, Quiet Days, Holidays and Special Events is now ready.

In terms of speakers Launde will be welcoming back some well-known faces next year, such as internationally renowned, John Bell from the Iona Community and writer, Angela Ashwin, alongside new leaders, including Martin Laird, Ray Simpson, Peter Ball and Simon Small - all well-known in the retreat community.

New retreats and events will also be covered and these will include a Taize Weekend, Gardening Holiday and a Healing retreat for the victims of crime.

Alongside the retreats and Quiet Days there will also be a number of holidays throughout the year, including Walking, Landscape Painting and the annual Working Holiday where individuals, friends and family can come together for an activity holiday with a difference. If you have a special skill that might be useful to Launde Abbey, such as building or horticulture, they would love to hear from you.

Full board is included for all Launde's retreats and holidays and guests are assured of a very warm welcome from all the staff.

"Nick Quinn, Launde's Business Manager said: "We are really pleased with the look and feel of our new Programme and we look forward to welcoming old and new retreat leaders alike to this remarkable retreat house in the Leicestershire countryside. There is an excellent selection of retreats, Quiet Days and Holidays at Launde this year, and we hope to be able to cater for everyone, whether they are looking for creativity, spirituality, peace or tranquility."

He added: "The programme can be downloaded from our website www.laundeabbey.org.uk or hard copies may be obtained from the General Office at Launde on 01572 717254 or by e-mailing suzanne@launde.org.uk."
