Green B&B wins award

A bed and breakfast has won a national award for its green credentials. Horseshoe Cottage Farm, in Cropston, was awarded gold status by the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
Owners Linda and Tim Jee cut electricity bills by 18 per cent by installing solar panels and energy-saving light bulbs, reduced water consumption, increased recycling and used produce grown nearby.
Mrs Jee said: "We are delighted to have been awarded this gold award."
The bed and breakfast is rated five star gold by tourist board VisitBritain.
