Cookery demonstration diners ask for 'more'
03/05/2012
Guests will be able to enjoy a delicious two-course supper plus coffee, before discovering a myriad of Chefs' secrets on a number of different topics, with an opportunity to try the food being demonstrated.
This year's subjects include Winter Cookery, Cake Decorating, Cooking with Fish, Vegetarian Cookery, Indian and Chinese Cookery, Outdoor Cookery and Christmas Cookery.
Nick Quinn, the Abbey's Business Manager, himself a trained Chef said: "Our aim is to encourage cooks of all ages to be more adventurous with their cookery and also to help them to learn new skills and perfect others. These demonstrations are designed to be fun and they are a great way of combining an evening with friends with learning a new skill at the same time. During the course of the evening our Chefs will be demonstrating several different dishes for guests to try and there will be plenty of opportunities for questions during the demonstrations".
The Cookery Demonstrations start on 16th January with Winter Cookery, which will include preparing soups.
The evenings, which start at 7.30 pm for a 7.45 pm supper are excellent value at £15.00 per person, including the supper, and guests are asked to book in advance through the General Office on 01572 717254. The demonstrations and tastings will follow on after supper.
Launde Abbey will also be hosting Pudding Nights in 2012; a wonderful opportunity to indulge yourself with a selection of naughty but nice puddings - after a modest savoury first course, of course!
