03/05/2012

Theme park owners have invested over £1 million in a unique Water Park. The water world is part of the new Wet and Wild land at Twinlakes Family Theme Park, Melton Mowbray.

Excavation started at the end of May to build the 25ft high, 22,000 square foot attraction, 500 tonnes of concrete was laid and over 1000 metres of pipe pumps and recycles 15,000 litres of water every minute!

Phil Bendall, Director commented ‘Our main focus is to continue to enhance the visitor experience by bringing the beach to the Midlands, a great deal of research has been done to ensure we invest wisely and give our customers what they want, for those based in the midlands wet and wild land is an easy and convenient way to bring the seaside experience closer to home'.

Sandy Gyorvari, Park Manager said ‘We are very aware that families are on a tight budget and the summer holidays can be an expensive time, we felt that unlike other attractions our water park should be offered to visitors for free and therefore be included in the entrance price'.
