Awards applicants have a month to go

There's just a month to go until the entry deadline for the Leicestershire Business Awards 2012 so companies are being urged to get their applications in. While the shrinking violets may be asking ‘why bother?' those wanting to make themselves stand out from the crowd will be asking themselves ‘why not?' Widely recognised as a cost-effective marketing tool the Leicestershire Business Awards generate positive publicity and a host of immediate and long term benefits which resonate throughout the organisation and their market place.

Since Saladworks was named as the Leicestershire Business of the Year 2011 the business has been in high spirits. "The win has been the topic of conversation with many of our customers and suppliers," commented Managing Director Jimmy Mark, "it's been a positive reaction across the whole business and has raised esteem in all our workers. It was great to see their reaction when they saw the trophies!"

During the last 18 years over 250 finalists have been rewarded with trophies, the recipients being an even mix of sizes from a diverse range of industries. The categories for this year's Awards are: New Business, Sales & Marketing, Investing in Leicestershire, Innovation, Success Through People, International Trade, Entrepreneur of the Year and Leicestershire Business of the Year. The simple entry process begins with an online or hard copy application which the judges review impartially before visiting the finalists. It culminates with the winners being announced at an impressive Awards ceremony.

The Attic Room were seeking more recognition in Leicestershire when they chose to enter the Awards, as Marketer Emily Hayward stated "We looked at our options and decided that the Leicestershire Business Awards were the right thing to do. Katie Bennett and her team were with us every step of the way and helped us through the application process". Their aim was achieved as they won the New Business Award 2011.

The entry deadline is 25th November and the Awards ceremony will be held at Athena on 27th April 2012.
