Just over a quarter of a century ago one of the biggest sci-fi franchises had its second and possibly finest instalments. Aliens grossed $131 million internationally on the theatrical release and the movie was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including a Best Actress nomination for Sigourney Weaver.

Next month the National Space Centre will be celebrating this milestone and inviting fans to come along to Meet the Actors:

• Ricco Ross
• Daniel Kash
• Colette Hiller
• Cynthia Scott
• Trevor Steedman
• More to be confirmed...

Joining this squad of Colonial Marines will be the Creator of the Colonial Marine Armour and world renowned armourer Terry English (Sunday Only).

Visitors to the National Space Centre will also be entertained with panels, workshops and Q&A sessions:
• 25 Years of Alien Panel: featuring stars from the movie
• Prometheus Panel: get the inside info on the new Ridley Scott movie with experts Ian Nathan (Empire), Chris Fowler (Alien Prequel News.com), Aaron Percival (AvP Galaxy.net)

• Colonial Marine armour panel: featuring Terry English (Sunday only)

Writer, producer, broadcaster and magazine editor for 20 years, Ian Nathan, will be signing copies of his new book, 'Alien Vault'.

One of the highlights of the weekend is one for the over 18s only and taking inspiration from the cult movie. The Alien Encounter is a live interactive walk through experience created by the UKCM for the National Space Centre. Watch a clip... if you dare

A huge display of original props and costumes from Aliens from the Harry Harris Aliens Collection & Archive will be on show.
