100th visit for Slimtone group

Marie Griffiths and her Slimtone group have just celebrated their 100th visit at Leicestershire's Champney's Springs Health Resort. Marie has been bringing her group for the last 17 years and the visits just get bigger and better.

Marie Griffiths first opened her Slimtone class in 1982 and she now runs 20 groups in South Wales and it has been said that her very reason for existence is devoting her life to helping clients achieve their dreams.

Champneys Spa Manager, Carol Harvey said ‘Liaising with Marie Griffiths is an absolute joy. She is a lovely and very special lady who has a real passion for what she does. Marie always puts such a lot into the co-ordination of the Slimtone visits ensuring that everything is so well organised in order to run smoothly. I have noticed over the years her guests booking more and more treatments to get the most from their stay and experiencing some of our most luxurious treatments.'

The group visit three weekends a year with some guests staying for the full weekend and other for a day visit. Marie offers the opportunity to pay a little per week to enable her members to spread the cost of their trip.

The latest trip had two coaches with 89 ladies staying for the weekend and an additional 30 who came for the day on the Sunday. The group this time had received a staggering 223 hours worth of treatments and a good time was had by all.

In recognition of this momentous occasion a drinks reception was held for Marie and her guests.
