VisitEngland 20.12% marketing campaign

VisitEngland has secured an additional £3 million from the Government Olympic Executive and a further £1 million for the other UK nations to run a £4 million domestic TV campaign showcasing fantastic reasons to holiday and take more breaks in the UK during 2012. The TV advertising campaign, which will go on air on 8 March 2012 (and run till May 2012) will feature the themes of coast, countryside and city, with a call to action to visit the specially designed website portal at www.great2012offers.com. This will feature special offers from industry partners of 20.12% off and other great offers and a link direct through to each businesses' website for further information and to book directly with the business.

As discussed at the recent Leicester and Leicestershire Tourism Forum, Leicester Shire Promotions is now collating 'Great20.20%' offers from tourism businesses in the city and county for VisitEngland's 'Holidaying at Home' campaign and website in 2012. These entries will also go on the goleicestershire.com website so that web traffic can be tracked and partner offers receive double exposure.

Please note, although entries should reach Leicester Shire Promotions by 24 February 2012 to ensure they go live on the site before the VisitEngland deadline on 28 February, ahead of the advert airing, offers will be continue to be accepted throughout the year so please keep sending them in.
