Hunsbury Hill Road,


Hunsbury Hill was formed by various geological activities in an area of the Northern Hemisphere which later became the island of Great Britain. Silt, sand and minerals were deposited on the sea bed which over time turned to rock now known to geologists as the Northampton Sand Ironstone Formation.

By Rail

Northanpton Castle Station

Regular trains call at Nothampton from Birmingham New Street or London Euston. Coach services operate some weekends due to outgoing engineering work. (To check with National Rail Enquires first)

By Road

Exit from the M1 motorway Junction 15A, and continue along local road for approximate .5 mile. Bear left on to A46 for 1 mile, at roundabout take 3rd EXIT onto DANES CAMP WAY (A45) for .5 mile. At the roundabout take the 4th EXIT onto Hunbury Hill Road. Continue over 2 mim roundabouts past the Rose & Claret Public House. NIRT enternece into Hunbury Hill Country Park on the left. Parking is free.


By Bus from the Railway Station….

A regular bus service operates from the station. To travel to Hunsbury, you need the service No: 10. There are always plenty of black cab taxis available outside the main entrance of the station.

By Bus….From Greyfriars Bus Station….

The bus station is approximately 10 minutes walk from the railway station.

Bus services depart at the following times: 0848 then every 15 mins until 1733. First Group Bus No: 12. Saturdays 0903 then every 15 mins until 1648 then 1708 every 20 mins until 1850.
