A long north transept was added to the church at the end of the thirteenth century and the tower was added in the fifteenth century.

Either take A5199 Welford Road towards Wigston and Northampton. Opposite a large Texaco garage in Wigston, turn left signed to Newton Harcourt and Wistow. Follow this country lane for over 2 miles, going over the railway and canal bridges, and at the next crossroads, turn left to Wistow. Wistow Rural Centre will be found on the right hand side and with the church and lake about 300 metres beyond.

Or take the A6 south towards Oadby and Market Harborough. About 2 miles beyond Oadby, follow the Great Glen by pass and at the second roundabout turn right towards Wistow and Fleckney. Proceed along this country lane for about 2 miles over the railway and canal bridges and turn right at the next crossroads signed to Wistow. The lake and church will be found shortly and Wistow Rural Centre is on the left after a further 300 metres.
From Market Harborough

Take the A6 north towards Leicester and proceed through the large village of Kibworth. At the end of Kibworth Harcourt, turn left at the roundabout signed to Wistow and Kilby. Go over the next mini roundabout and follow this country lane for about 2 miles over the railway and canal bridges and at the next crossroads, proceed straight over into Wistow with the lake and church, and Wistow Rural Centre is 300 metres beyond.

From J20 of M1 Motorway and Northampton

Take the A4304 towards Market Harborough and at Husbands Bosworth turn left onto the A5199 towards Leicester. Follow this road for about 8 miles and take the right turn to Kilby and Wistow. Proceed through Kilby and follow the country lane for about 2 miles until you reach Wistow Rural Centre with the lake and church beyond.
