Details

Abbey Pumping Station is Leicester's Museum of Science and Technology, displaying Leicester's industrial, technological and scientific heritage. Situated adjacent to the National Space Centre, the two attractions tell the story of over 200 years of science and technology from the early days of steam and industry, to space exploration of today.

Level access is available in the grounds, museum displays and railway. Wheelchair loan is available on request and audio interpretation and hands-on displays are featured throughout the exhibitions. A staff assisted lift allows access to the beam engine house. There is an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities.

Prices

Admission only charged on Special Event Days, a group rate will depend on dicussion with manager of site for groups of over 20 adults. There is a cost of approx £1 per head for a tour consisting of 15 people (max 25 people).
