Join the Canal & River Trust for an afternoon and evening of festive fun at Foxton Locks illuminated boat festival.
What to expect?
Beautifully decorated canal boats lining the towpath
Enjoy the festive lights as you wander around the historic lock flight
Illuminated water fountain at the heart of the festival
Enjoy tasty festive food and drink
Listen to an array of entertainment acts, including The Dr Len's Jazz and Blues Band and The Parsnips
We are still finalising the programme and will update this with further information as it becomes available,
What does it cost?
£5 per person, under 12s are free. Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult.
What to wear?
This is an outdoor event in December, so please dress in warm clothes and sturdy footwear. The event will be on grassed areas and there will be some uneven surfaces.
Accessibility
The site is accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Parking
No parking available on the Foxton Locks site. Ticket price covers the park and ride.
Access to the County Showground will be from the roundabout on the B6047 Harborough Road.
Buses will be running from 13:30, finishing at 21:00 and the gates at the showground will close at 21:15.
Event cancellation
Please be aware that in the event of extreme weather, we may be forced to cancel the event. If this does occur, we will refund you.
