Details

Would you like to learn the stories the Park can tell by looking at it’s Geology?  You will learn about the changes over time that have impacted on the landscape, starting over 560 million years ago.

Join our expert to be introduced to the geology of the Park.  The walk will take about 1 1/2 hours and will cover approx. 1 mile in distance.

The walk is free of charge, but please note that car parking fees apply (£4 on a Saturday for the day).  You will need to wear appropriate footwear for rough terrain and be prepared to walk up to Old John.

Bradgate Park has three entrances: the main entrance in Newtown Linford. Also Cropston (Hallgates) and Old John (Hunts Hill). Swithland wood has two entrances, north and south.
