There's plenty to do this October half term

Leicester and Leicestershire will host a variety of attractions and festivals that will be sure to keep the family busy during half term.

The Loogabarooga Festival, an exciting annual festival in Loughborough that celebrates childrens illustrated literature, is taking place from 19-24 October. The Festival will feature incredible illustrations and brilliant books with a selection great range of workshops, talks and read-throughs from some of the nation’s favourite children’s authors and illustrators.

Leicestershire also has a range of alternative attractions for the whole family, such as the National Space Centre, the only one of its kind in the UK. History lovers will love the King Richard III Visitor Centre and Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre, and for those who want to take the weight off their feet, relax and watch a show, there are a collection of independent and touring productions being performed at De Montfort Hall and Curve.

Last chance to see New Walk Museum's Leicester City Football Club exhibition 'Fearless Foxes'

Visit New Walk Museum and relive the remarkable rise of Leicester City Football Club, from relegation favourites in March 2015 to English Premier League champions in May 2016. This display uses images and sound to recreate what has been a truly unforgettable year in the world of football.

The exhibit is sadly coming to a close on the 23rd October, so this may be the only time to relive the magic of the Premier League Champions, and relish in last year's unbelievable success.
