
BELVOIR CASTLE'S FIRST EVER OPEN-AIR CONCERT SEASON, MIDSUMMER MAGIC 2008, SET TO SHOWCASE ECLECTIC MIX OF TOP ACTS

This summer, top acts from the genres of pop, classical, opera and rock will be performing at the much anticipated Midsummer Magic season. Major acts including the Sugababes, Katherine Jenkins and McFly will be performing at the magnificent grounds of Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire from June to August 2008.
Tickets for each act are now available from the Leicester Tourist Information Centre in Town Hall Square, Leicester, and are bookable online using the eShop facility on http://www.goleicestershire.com/. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the Leicester UK Holiday Shop at the Leicester Tourist Information Centre on 0116 2994444.
Chart-topping girl-group Sugababes, who have sold over five millions albums worldwide, will kick off Midsummer Magic 2008 on Saturday 21 June with performances of their top ten smash hits such as Freak Like Me, Hole In The Head and About You Now. The concert will be on the back of the girls' critically acclaimed album Change so expect some new material. Visitors will also be treated to a spectacular firework finale at the end of the evening. Tickets are priced at £27.50.
Mezzo-Soprano and Brit-award winning singer Katherine Jenkins will be joined by the National Symphony Orchestra and classical boy group Blake on Sunday 22 June. The opera singer, who has become the biggest-selling classical artist of all time, will perform some of her most popular classical songs followed by a musical fireworks display at the end of the night. Tickets are priced at £31.50
Next on the Midsummer Magic bill is the extremely popular boy band McFly on Saturday 16 August. The teenage band have enjoyed phenomenal success since their debut single Five Colours In Her Hair, and have gone on to sell a double platinum-selling album and achieved 13 top-ten singles. Expect energetic and lively performances of some of their most popular singles. Tickets are priced at £27.50.
Midsummer Magic 2008 ‘s final concert at Belvoir Castle will be a tribute treat like no other with performances from the country's most talented and popular tribute acts, Bootleg Beatles and Bjorn Again on Sunday 17 August. Beatles tribute act Bootleg Beatles have performed over 4,000 times around the world since they started performing in 1980 and continue to prove a popular attraction today. Abba tribute act, Bjorn Again, will be treating audiences to their immensely popular renditions of Abba's most famous hits. Tickets are priced at £24.
