The Woodlands – A new event venue, luxury treehouse accommodation and self-catering snugs opens in Leicestershire
Multi-million pound development, The Woodlands, designed by celebrity favourite, Blue Forest, is now welcoming its first guests for celebrations, weddings, meetings and short breaks. Located in the wooded grounds of manor house, Hothorpe Hall, it provides a distinct alternative venue to the original Georgian manor house.
Comprising a function room, lounge bar and dining room within the venue, along with 23 bedrooms throughout the edge of the woods, The Woodlands offers guests a unique place to hold an event. Owned and operated by Hothorpe Hall Ltd – a successful venue with over 30 years’ trading – guests can expect the same high standards of staff service, quality food and comfortable accommodation.
The unique timber and glass-built venue is complemented by 23 en suite bedrooms within a series of quirky woodland lodges, snugs and a luxury elevated treehouse, which between them offer countryside or woodland views. The accommodation means that those attending an event in The Woodlands venue have the option of extending their stay overnight. More information on The Woodlands as an event venue can be found at www.hothorpe.co.uk/woodlands
The Snugs – which are modern log cabins – and the treehouse will see The Woodlands welcome guests for short breaks too. The luxury treehouse can be booked for B&B breaks and is situated on the perimeter of The Woodlands with stunning views up to Theddingworth and the church spire. Each of the 5 two-bedroomed snugs can be booked for B&B or on a self-catering basis, as snugs are also home to a cosy lounge/diner and kitchen. A brand new website on breaks at The Woodlands is now launched: www.woodlandbreaks.co.uk
Nicola Firth, Chief Executive of Hothorpe Hall & The Woodlands said, “We’re thrilled to be opening The Woodlands, which has been in the pipeline since 2013. It allows us to offer a quirky, modern venue, different to the historic Hothorpe Hall as well as welcome more customers due to increased capacity. Not only will it act as a venue for a range of event types, we’re also hoping to welcome guests on short B&B or self-catering breaks, which is something we’ve not previously been able to do. We’re pleased to have already taken bookings from big name brands who have booked The Woodlands for meetings and staff summer and Christmas parties.
The opening of The Woodlands has created around 15 permanent and casual roles for local people and the construction phase employed the services of many nearby contractors. As The Woodlands business grows, we’re confident that locals will benefit from further employment and training opportunities.”
The Woodlands has been designed by award-winning Blue Forest, that specialise in treehouses and similar unique structures whose clients include The Eden Project and celebrities.
