One of the largest street theatre festivals in the country returns to Market Harborough
The Arts Fresco Festival, one of the largest, free street theatre festivals in the UK, will return to Market Harborough in Leicestershire for 2016.
Arts Fresco will transform the streets of Market Harborough from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 18 September 2016.
National and international performers at this year’s event include explosive street theatre with Bängditos from Germany, a spectacular show for a two-member audience with the Grand Theatre of Lemmings – The Smallest Theatre in the World, highly energised physical comedy performances with Garaghty and Thom and many more.
A children’s village, supported by the Market Harborough Building Society, will feature circus workshops, entertainment and more.
Nina Thomas from the Arts Fresco Organising Committee said: “The Arts Fresco Street Theatre Festival started in 2002 and every year, thousands of people flock to Market Harborough to wander the streets, mingling with roaming dinosaurs, mad chefs and wheelie bins that drive themselves.”
“Performers from all over Europe take part, from big names in the world of street theatre to unknown artists looking to build their careers, so come along and experience it for yourself!” continued Nina.
