Di Lorriman said: “I was delighted to be asked to do a caricature of the exciting new Hi and Lo Ropes activity at CONKERS. I so enjoy drawing people in action having fun. I thought about all the climbing, balancing and whizzing and tried to draw on paper how I would feel and behave as I achieved it all. In my imagination, I had a terrific time!”
The Hi and Lo Ropes Aerial Adventure experience is one of the most physically-challenging outdoor adventure courses in the country for visitors and families. Visitors can book tickets for the High and Low Ropes in advance by calling 01283 216 633 or online at www.visitconkers.com/thingstodo/hiropes
The Hi Ropes Adventure has 15 aerial sections to complete including climbing nets, high level walkways, and more. The Hi Ropes course is around 30 feet above the ground but participants are always clipped on to the safe roller system.
The Lo Ropes course is just the ticket for junior visitors to traverse and build confidence – offering 10 different and exciting stage challenges. The course is up to 10 feet above the ground and participants are always clipped on to the safety rail as they negotiate the obstacles.
The Climbing Wall is 30 feet high. It has many routes and uses two auto-belay systems to ensure that climbers are always safe.
The amazing Powerfan Descender is 40 feet high. You step into the void off the platform and experience the sensation of free-falling before your descent is slowed at the last minute. The fast and furious 110 metre Zip Wire is a great way to finish the course.
The Hi and Lo Ropes experience is an ‘Add–On Adventure’ and is not included in the standard day visit day ticket price. Prices start at £4 for individual activities. Visitors must have purchased a general admission ticket.
