'Be Like Bear' During Bushcraft Survival Weekend at Conkers
If survival expert and outdoor adventurer, Bear Grylls is one of your heroes then why not learn how to ‘be like Bear’ on the latest Bushcraft Survival Weekend at CONKERS this weekend (from 12-13 March 2016).
Bushcraft is the art of using the resources provided by our natural environment to survive and thrive in the great outdoors. Learning basic bushcraft skills can go a long way to increasing your chances of survival in the wilderness.
Each two-hour bushcraft session is led by experienced Rangers and will involve:
• Learning about basic survival skills and the impact on the environment
• Building your own weatherproof shelter using tarps and woodland materials
• Fire building and safety
• Creating fire using ‘flint and steels’
• Toasting marshmallows to make s’mores
• Hot chocolate
Spaces are limited and sessions start at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March. Tickets are priced at £5 per person (exclusive of entry price) and members go free. All children must be supervised.
