Restaurants
Stylish city restaurants, top class curry houses, cosy village pubs - you name it, Leicestershire has it! Wherever you are in Leicestershire, a good restaurant is never far away.
Stylish restaurants
Leicestershire has exactly what you would expect from a city that is home to cultures from across the globe. In Leicester itself, try The Case, which is situated above the Champagne bar on Hotel Street. Relaxed and friendly, the food is a tasty fusion of continental styles. For a more formal dining experience, Watson's on Upper Brown Street is a popular restaurant situated in a converted cotton mill. County options include the stylish Firenze in Kibworth Beauchamp and Louis Scotts in Newtown Linford.
A Taste of Asia
Naturally Leicester is home to some of the best Asian restaurants in the UK, many of which can be found on the Belgrave Road and Melton Road. Recommendations here include the modern and bright Jalsa, the more traditional Grand Dubar, and the trendy neon-lit Sakonis. Other popular Asian restaurants in the city include The Tiffin and Shimla Pink, both on London Road.
Country pubs
Some of Leicestershire's greatest places to eat out are its traditional country pubs, nestling in small villages, way off the beaten track. With crackling log fires in winter, pretty gardens to enjoy in summer, and great food all year round, a delicious pub meal is a temptation at any time. The Baker's Arms in Thorpe Langton near Market Harborough is a very popular gastropub, with excellent food and relaxed ambience, whilst in Rutland the Kings Arms at Wing and the Finch's Arms in Hambleton are good options.
