You can hire a bike from Hicks Lodge and cycle through The National Forest and stop at Conkers, the award-winning family visitor attraction. Rain or shine, there's plenty to do, with indoor and outdoor activities providing fun for all ages.
Nearby, you can take a trip on the Ashby Canal to visit the 19th century blast furnace at Moira Furnace, or visit Coalville, where a former colliery has been transformed into the fascinating Snibston a celebration of Leicestershire's industrial past. The beautifully restored Donington-le-Heath Manor House is also in this area, and holds regular special events.
