We are delighted to have an exhibition of Comic Art running at Charnwood Museum Gallery from 25 September to 31 October 2018, with free entry throughout.

John Patrick Reynolds is the only screen printer with permission from DC Thomson, the publisher of The Beano, to use its fabulous archive of images in his work. This specially commissioned exhibition of Comic Art celebrates the most popular characters in the longest-running British children's comic, including Dennis the Menace, the Bash Street Kids and Minnie the Minx – who have been familiar to generations of British schoolkids and continue to fascinate children today. The screen prints are all hand-pulled by John, one colour at a time, in London,on cotton mould-made paper milled in England. Many of these pieces of art will be available to purchase at the end of the Festival, please enquire at the museum for more information.

This exhibition is part of the Loogabarooga Festival of Incredible Illustrations and Brilliant Books.
