Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival

Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival celebrated 20 years of laughter in Leicester in 2013

20 years of laughter

Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival, Britain’s longest-running comedy festival, turned 20 in February 2013, coming of age as one of the most established fixtures on the comedy scene.

Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival is always a great place to spot the big names of the future, as well as the household names. 2013’s line-up built on this track record and gave some suitably grown-up comedy from both heavyweights and newer talent such as Alan Davies, Milton Jones, Russell Kane, Carl Donnelly, Doc Brown, Terry Alderton, Jenny Éclair, Seann Walsh and Al Murray.

“I owe it all to Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival.” Josh Widdicombe

“The vibe is great.” Stephen K Amos

“Leicester is the finest place on earth after Balham.” Arthur Smith

Despite reaching the status of what Arthur Smith describes as ‘an old-timer on the festival scene’, Leicester continues to surprise and delight an ever wider audience.

The 2014 date for the Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival is still to be confirmed.
