IAMCR 2016 - Getting around Leicester

Whilst you are here in Leicester for IAMCR 2016 we have put together some handy hints and tips for getting to and from conference and getting around Leicester.

Leicester is served by a good network of public transport and there are many regular bus services that leave the city centre and stop at the University of Leicester or close to De Montfort Hall.

Handy tip: A good point of reference for bus travel to both locations is Leicester Train Station, as most services that stop at both locations collect from here. For example, amongst many others, the 31 and 31a Arriva bus stops here and you will be able to get off at the 1st Victoria Park bus stop (our bus drivers are friendly, and will let you know where to get off if you ask them!). It is then a very short walk to De Montfort Hall and the University of Leicester.

Here's a useful guide to which bus to get, where to get it and where it will drop you off.
