About Leicester Shire Promotions
Leicester Shire Promotions is the Destination Management Organisation (DMO) responsible for promoting Leicester and Leicestershire to visitors. It was formed in July 2003 and is a private, not-for-profit company. Leicester Shire Promotions is a partnership between Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council. The organisation's activities are based on a co-ordinated place marketing strategy. This focuses on:
- Destination leadership and coordination
- Attracting visitors
- Developing services for visitors
- Providing services to the tourism industry
- Corporate Vision
Leicester Shire Promotions aspires to be recognised by its peers and stakeholders as a leading Destination Management Organisation.
