Leicester-born Dave Shelton never really set out to be an author

.

Leicester-born Dave Shelton never really set out to be an author. He only meant to draw the pictures, not write the words.

But somewhere along the way he wrote a children’s fable, A Boy and a Bear in a Boat (winner of the Branford Boase Award), and a book of ghost stories,

Thirteen Chairs, as well as creating the comic strip Good Dog, Bad Dog.

.
