At the National Space Centre there's special events taking place throughout the year, the Creator Fair in September will showcase makers, builders, designers and crafters, for a weekend dedicated to amazing creativity. Enjoy a family day out at Twycross Zoo where there are around 500 animals of 150 species to see including many endangered animals and native species and Snibston Discovery Museum at Coalville offers a day out for all the family - look out for the colliery tours and special event days when the trains are running.

The Great Central Railway is the UK’s only double track, main line heritage railway and events regularly take place throughout the year.
