Enjoy Easter in Leicester and Leicestershire

There's fun for all the family in Leicester and Leicestershire this Easter. Look out for the Easter Bunny at Great Central Railway or let your children make their own chocolate goodies at a Chocolate Workshop at BitterSweet Chocolate at Breedon on the Hill.

Following a phenomenal week of events across the city and county for King Richard III's reinterment at Leicester Cathedral you can now come and see for yourself the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre to explore the site of the battle and the new King Richard III Visitor Centre which tells the story of how the mortal remains of the king were discovered in the city in 2012 - the visitor centre has been named by The Lonely Planet as  one of  the 'hottest' attractions in the world for 2015.

At the National Space Centre there's special events taking place throughout the year. Enjoy a family day out at Twycross Zoo where there are around 500 animals of 150 species to see including many endangered animals and native species. At the newly opened Stoneywell Cottage in Charnwood Forest discover examples of furniture designed by the arts and crafts designer Ernest Gimson.

There are festivals taking place throughout the year across the city and county including canal festivals, food and drink festivals and something for all the family.
